Like peopleCare, MEDA's approach is to partner at the local level and find sustainable ways to meet existing needs and build capacity for the future, so everyone in the community can benefit from greater prosperity, health and wellbeing.

Each donation goes directly towards MEDA’s Nigeria WAY Project, which is supporting women and youth entrepreneurs to earn a sustainable living and contribute to the collective welfare of their communities. Donations are multiplied by 5 times with funding from Global Affairs Canada.

About MEDA Nigeria WAY

• WAY will benefit over 41,000 people – particularly women & youth - in Bauchi State, Nigeria.
• The Nigeria Women and Youth project is supporting 16,000 entrepreneurs in soyabean, rice and ground nut production.
• For every $200 raised one entrepreneur is supported in their business to earn a livelihood and provide for their family.
• Women entrepreneurs learn how to make tofu from soya beans they produce.  They are then able to sell tofu at market and earn more money for their family.
